Today we are looking at some hot sauces up in Seattle and it’s Bonache Hot Sauce. We got their Green Hatch Chile Sauce and we got their Habanero Sauce. Just from the looks of it, it looks like a Louisiana style sauce. Very thin in nature. But let’s go ahead and try the Green Hatch.
Now, as far as the ingredients, this is a fairly simple recipe. There is apple cider vinegar, some green hatch chiles, some lime juice, peppers, tomatillos, cucumbers, and a few other things in there. Let’s go ahead and try it out. You can smell the vinegar in there. This has got a nice little, pleasant smell to it. Very thin so just be careful when pouring it out there. Very smooth, very good. Nice little kick to it but nothing too fierce. It’s not bad. As far as my 5 star scale, I will eat this any day of the week, I would give this 4 out of 5. And as far as the spicy scale, really not too hot, I would probably give it a 2 on the spicy scale. That is 2 out of 10.
Now, taking a look at the Habanero blend. Looks like the recipe is even simpler. They got white wine vinegar, chile peppers, habanero, lime juice, carrots, salt, sugar, and spices. I am expecting a little bit more heat because it is habanero and all. This one has a little bit of a smoky flavor. But you definitely smell that chile powder in there. Not bad, pretty smooth. It has got a little creeper burn. It is getting me a few seconds later. But not too hot either. Not bad. I like it a little bit more than the Green Hatch. I will give them both 4 out of 5 stars on the overall scale. And as far as the spicy scale, this one is a little bit hotter, I would give it 4 out of 10.
So definitely don’t forget to check them out. It’s Bonachehotsauce.com. Thank you guys for watching and talk to you later. Bye!
